NRA New Shooter Seminar

This four-hour informational seminar is designed for the brand new shooter to highlight the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for selecting, safely handling, storing, and cleaning a firearm. This seminar also provides range information, what equipment is needed and what to expect when visiting a firing range.
In this class, you will discuss a broad overview of how to:

Choose a firearm based on action type, size, caliber, and capacity

Chose the correct ammunition for the caliber and action type of your firearm

Safely handle a firearm using the NRA three basic rules

Store a firearm properly such that it is protected from unauthorized use

Properly clean your firearm once it has been used and for maintenance purposes

What to bring to the range and typical rules on a range
**Registration is open to law abiding U.S. Citizens over the age of 18 or with a signed parental consent form anyone over the age of 16.**
